태터툴즈 1.0.6으로 복구 (Recovering from TatterTools version 1.1)

The most attractive feature the TatterTools supports is MetaBlogAPI. Many blogs like Blogger.com already have been supported the API. I was wondering why the TatterTools doesn't support the API like that. I visited TatterTools' homepage to make sure whether there is MetaBlogAPI feature or not, and I finally found that the new version 1.1 now supports it.

Even though the new release one have been through the Beta test for a long time, there are many critical bugs so that blogger can't use it, especially skin problem. As far as I know, many blogger including me do change the skin as they want. My browsers (both IE and FireFox) give me a blank page, even without any errors! What happened to my blog? I hope TatterTools get over this hard time. I will not upgrade my blog until they release Service pack 3. :-(


이번에 새로 릴리즈된 태터툴즈 1.1 버전에서 가장 맘에 들었던게 바로 MetaBlogAPI 였다. 사실 다른 유명 블로그들은 이와 관련된 서비스들을 벌써부터 지원하고 있었는데, 태터툴즈에 왜 없을까라는 의문을 품었다고 홈페이지를 방문해 보았더니 1.1 버전에서 지원한다고 해서 부랴부랴 설치했다.

하.지.만.

오랜 기간 동안의 베타 테스트에도 불구하고 태터툴즈는 기존 버전과의 하위호환성을 많이 잃어버린듯 싶다. 우선 스킨 구조가 변경되어 내 블로그에서는 아예 아무것도 보이지 않는다. 내가 알기로 태터툴즈 사용자들 중에서 많은 사람들이 커스터마이징해서 사용할텐데 스킨 구조가 하위호환성을 갖지 못한다는 점은 매우 아쉽다. 하위 호환성에 관한 문제는 다음 링크에서 확인할 수 있다고 한다. http://forum.tattertools.com/ko/viewtopic.php?id=1983 그 뿐만 아니라 하지만 여전히 태터툴즈 게시판에 각종 버그들이 수없이 올라오고 있어 아직은 시기상조라는 느낌이 든다. 다행히도 이전 버전 소스들을 백업해놓아서 복사하는 것만으로도 복구 완료.

1.1 버전의 SP3정도는 나와야 사용해볼 의양이 있다.
